After an impressive win last week, Dario Franchitti is ready to show Alabama why he is the best. Tempers from last week’s pile up seemed to have died down. Although, I think there will be some interesting partnerships developed this season.
- Simona de Silvestro is definitely making a lot of noise. She is giving IndyCar a different feel early in the season.
- Danica Patrick had an acceptable 12th place finish, considering she is not the road course specialist.
- Paul Tracy, Bruno Junqueira, and James Hinchcliffe are the latest to announce that they have found either full-season, or partial rides in this year’s IndyCar season.
It is definitely going to be a very big month of May. The centennial running of the 500 will succeed where all others have failed. As a fan of the sport for years, I watch with anticipation as the 2011 IZOD IndyCar Series unfolds. There will be a reset of power and seniority next year, due to the fact there will be multiple changes to the car and probably multiple changes to the rules as well.
That is next season though. As far as this season, I will be watching and you will be able to see IndyCar As I See It.
