Behind the BarThe Tasting Room: Maker’s 46 (@MakersMark)

Maker’s Mark has released a second big idea just ask them Bourbon, and it is a phenomenal. No it is not the end all for Bourbon but it is as close as I have tasted. Maker’s 46 make you feel like yes like MMMM like let’s get it done. It is the reason you leave work early, the reason you go home late.

Maker’s has made bourbon one way since 1958 so why the change? Honestly it doesn’t matter just enjoy this smoother richer and vanilla flavor backed by oak and caramel with a near perfect finish. I challenge anyone to make a better Bourbon and if you do send me a case. The one gripe you could have is the price it is in the range of Blanton’s, Woodford, and Bookers etc… Maker’s 46 steps up with a cocky grin is it the G.O.A.T.? Too early to tell it is how ever worthy of a 5 out of 5 hat’s off to Maker’s Mark.

Rating 5 out of 5

P.S. I look forward to the next big thing guys in 50 or so years. Thanks.
